Confirm the UV sterilizing base is plugged in to an outlet
Remove your toothbrush handle from the base, pick up the base, turn it over, and press the small white button under the bottom (It looks like a foot on the base and has clear rubber over it - see image below)
While pressing the small white button, insert the handle
Look at the bottom of the base—you should see the UV ring glow
