Refund policy

All items purchased at TAO Clean carry a forty-five (45) day, no-questions-asked, money-back guarantee. However, returns for purchases made via a multi-tier discount will require an Order Adjustment Fee to be paid prior to the processing of a return, per the Tiered Discount Return Policy below.

Authorized domestic returns within the 45-day guarantee period may be returned. Each return will incur a $9.95 shipping and handling fee for USA orders. To ensure your return is processed quickly and accurately, please email our support team at support@taoclean.com.

All shipping fees are non-refundable.

Once we’ve received your item at TAO Clean, we will process the refund using your original payment method. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days from the time the item(s) are received at our facility.

We are unable to issue refunds after 45 days from the date of purchase. However, your items are covered under our lifetime warranty for any mechanical or materials defects. Each warranty claim will include a $9.95 shipping and handling fee for USA orders. For assistance, please contact customer support:

Tiered Discount Return Policy

Our tiered discount means the more you buy, the more you save. If you return any portion of an order placed through a tiered discount offer, your refund will be adjusted to reflect the price you would have qualified for based on the number of items you keep.

An Order Adjustment Fee will apply in these cases. This fee will be sent to you via email as an invoice and must be paid before any tiered-discount return can be processed. Your refund will be processed once (1) the Order Adjustment Fee has been paid, and (2) the returned item(s) have arrived at our warehouse.

A $9.95 shipping and handling fee also applies to all USA returns. Where applicable, Gift With Purchase (GWP) items must also be returned in new condition, unused and unopened, or their retail value will be deducted from the refund total.

Example Scenario

A customer buys 3 units at $119.50 each and pays $9.95 shipping:

  • 3 × $119.50 = $358.50
  • + $9.95 shipping (non-refundable)
  • Total paid = $368.45 + tax

The customer returns 2 units, keeping 1 unit.

Refund Calculation

  • Refund for 2 units: 2 × $119.50 = $239.00
  • Return shipping fee: − $9.95
  • Refund issued: $229.05

Because the customer keeps 1 unit, the pricing adjusts to the Buy 1 tier:

  • Buy 1 price: $139.40
  • Amount originally paid: $119.50
  • Order Adjustment Fee: $19.90 ($139.40 − $119.50)

This fee is invoiced separately, will be sent via email from support@taoclean.com, and must be paid to complete the return.

In short: If you fall into a lower discount tier as a result of returning part of your order, the price difference for the item(s) kept is invoiced separately via email and must be paid.

Your returned items will be refunded at the price you originally paid and will be processed once (1) the Order Adjustment Fee has been paid, and (2) the returned item(s) have arrived at our warehouse.
