How to Brush with Your TAO Clean Sonic Toothbrush
Brushing with the TAO Clean sonic toothbrush is a little different from using a manual toothbrush, so let’s walk through how to use it properly for the best results.
Turning On the Toothbrush
To turn on the TAO Clean toothbrush, press the power button located on the front of the handle.
The toothbrush has two brushing modes:
- Super Clean (default mode): Provides a stronger sonic vibration for a deeper clean.
- Sensitive Clean: Provides a gentler brushing experience.
To switch modes, simply press the mode button. You can change modes at any time during brushing.
Applying Toothpaste
Before turning the toothbrush on, apply an even layer of toothpaste across the bristles.
Place the brush head inside your mouth before powering on the toothbrush.
This helps prevent toothpaste from splashing.
Proper Brushing Technique
When brushing with a sonic toothbrush, it’s important not to use too much pressure.
Instead:
- Gently glide the brush head across your teeth and gums
- Allow the toothbrush to do the work for you
- Move slowly from tooth to tooth

Using the Built-In Timer

Every 30 seconds, you’ll feel a brief pause in the vibration.
This indicates it’s time to move to a different section of your mouth.
We recommend dividing your mouth into 4 quadrants and brushing each section for about 30 seconds.
Once the full 2-minute cycle is complete, the toothbrush will automatically turn off.
After Brushing
After brushing:
- Rinse the brush head thoroughly under water
- Gently tap off any excess water
- Wipe away any remaining toothpaste residue with a towel or cloth if needed
When finished, place the toothbrush handle upside down into the base.
Docking the toothbrush correctly will automatically begin:
- Charging
- Drying
- UV sanitizing
the brush head.
